About UsBest Western The Parlour Historic Inn and Suites was originally called The Mansion House. Built in 1871 to serve the Grand Truck Railway and repair facility nearby, it consisted of 36 guest rooms and a dining room. At the time, women had a special ladies waiting room where they waited for their husbands to finish business and social meetings. Located in downtown Stratford, Best Western The Parlour Historic Inn and Suites has been a popular restaurant, lounge and bar for many years. The restaurant is decorated with classic features such as beautiful woodwork, tin ceilings and stained glass windows. Featuring 28 beautiful guest rooms, this historic inn is owned by Randy Simpson and Bill Windsor, both of Stratford. They have combined hospitality experience of over 40 years and take incredible pride in the re-development of this historic inn. The 240 seat dining room offers contemporary and traditional menu items as well as award winning desserts. A casual lounge and patio complement our dining experience with many draughts and ales on tap. In keeping with the character of the original building but with a modern touch, the guest rooms are designed with unique layouts, queen and king sized beds, whirlpool bathtubs and luxurious bedding. Best Western The Parlour Historic Inn and Suites is located one block from the Avon Theatre and Studio Theatres, two of four stages of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
